²⁷ As for the rest of Omri’s acts, the things he did, and the mighty deeds he accomplished, are they not written in the annals of the kings of Israel? ²⁸ Omri rested with his fathers, and he was buried in Samaria. Then his son Ahab became king in his place.

²⁹ Ahab son of Omri became king over Israel in the thirty-eighth year of Asa king of Judah. Ahab son of Omri ruled over Israel in Samaria for twenty-two years.
